SouthEast Asia

For the last several months, our missionaries Dr. Richard and Everln Wanyonyi and their son Fruitful have continued to labour for the Kingdom in SouthEast Asia. They are fulfilling the Great Commission "Go ye and make disciples all over the world baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit". Let us continue to pray for them as they fulfill this mandate through church planting, student minisrty and one-on-one witnessing. You can support them financially via

Wanyonyi's

Everlyn, Dr. Wanyonyi and their son Fruitful speaking to a congregation before they travelled to SouthEast Asia.

June 2011...

Pastor Richard Wanyonyi, PhD encountered the Lord in August 1992 during his post-graduation studies in India and submitted his life and started walking with Him in obedience to His word. He is married to Everlyne and they have a son, Fruitful Mission. They started missionary work in 2008.

He says their mission in Asia has been encouraging to their hearts. “We have seen souls come to the Lord, the sick healed and those bound by the enemy freed. Given the sensitivity to the public preaching of the gospel in this part of the word, our method of outreach is one-on-one mainly with the youth in Universities and colleges. By the grace of God, since March 2011 we started leading a youth Bible study, with five youths but now we have close to fifteen in every Friday attendance. Our Bible studies are conducted from house to house of the members. This has helped us know and also share with their parents the word of God, given that some of them are merely religious or of other beliefs. Besides, we have Sunday evening fellowship from 4-6pm to share from and fellowship over what the Lord has done.”

This however, is not without challenges. They need sponsorship of their son who needs to start schooling. “We do appreciate our sending mission (African Christian Mission International-ACMI), CCIT-Thika, who with the help and connection of Bishop Dr. Henry Mulandi, have and continue supporting us among other missionaries across the World...” However, their needs to continue effectively in the mission field have always outweighed the support they receive. Sometimes they are forced to rely on students to help them with their motorbikes so as to attend meetings which many times leaves them challenged in many ways.

With that experience amidst a vast ocean of such, Dr. Wanyonyi’s  advice to a prospective missionary is to be sure of his/her call to be a missionary, be ready to move in God’s timing and at the same time be ready to hold on when one runs into rough ‘weather’.
“ I would like to appreciate God and you saints from the bottom of my heart for the far we’ve come.” He appeals to you as the Lord leads, to continue standing with them financially however you can, so they may fulfil what the LORD has sent them there for: His glorious good.
