Nuba
Base Taking Root
By Marisa Deyl

It is always a good feeling to know that
people are praying for us and are involved in what is happening
here in the Nuba Mountains.
We are doing well and hopefully we will
be able to shift to the new compound this week. The construction
was slow because we were lacking the funds but God’s
timing is always perfect.
We are very busy with home evangelizing.
We go in the morning to various homes in the villages to
share the love of God with the people. As we shift to our
own compound we are hoping to start our own fellowship.
There are a lot of people who are looking for a Church that
is a bit different from the traditional Church of Sudan.
Even the foreigners who are here working for various non-governmental
organizations are looking for a place to fellowship. God
is showing us that this could be a way to start.
Tabitha, Musa and Yohana and his family
are doing well.
We recently received Bibles and evangelizing
booklets. This was a real answer to prayer but we still
need more of those and are looking forward to receiving
more from other well-wishers.
We
plan to soon start offering leadership training courses
to the pastors and church leaders as we have noted with
concern that leadership skills are lacking here in the Nuba
Mountains.
Continue to pray for us as we get ready
to transfer to our new compound. Pray that God will also
give us favor and wisdom as we minister to the Muslims.
We continue to trust that God will bless
us with a vehicle
Blessings to you,
